Abstract
The aim of the proposal is to study the relationship between abiotic and biotic factors and the diversity and community structure of fish in rivers in Belgium (Zeeschelde) and Bolivia (Amazon basin). The effect of these factors on spatial and temporal patterns in occurrence of riverine fish will be studied, and the impact of anthropogenic stressors will be investigated.
